Christine Swanson Utz

Christine is the founder and owner of Swanson Law Office, PLLC, established in 2010. Christine concentrates her practice on estate planning (including wills and trusts), estate administration and probate administration. Christine has been a multiple year recipient of the Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics Magazine, a designation given to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys in the state. Christine has also been a multiple year recipient of the Five Star Professional Award.

Christine brings a practical perspective to estate planning matters, drawing upon past experiences of working as a law clerk with Bremer Trust Company (probate and estate administration matters), completing a judicial externship with the Ramsey County Probate Court, completing a clerkship with the Minnesota Tax Court and working as an attorney in private practice in both large law firm and small law firm settings.

Christine is licensed to practice law in front of the State of Minnesota District Court, the United States District Court for the State of Minnesota and the United States Supreme Court. Christine is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers and the Dakota County Bar Association.

Christine earned her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. Christine completed her undergraduate studies, cum laude, at the University of St. Thomas, Macalester College and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (while completing an internship with the Scottish Parliament). Christine attended high school at the Convent of the Visitation School in Mendota Heights, MN.

In the community, Christine has been a member of the Minnesota Women Lawyers Foundation Board of Directors, the Minnesota Women Lawyers Scholarship and Silent Auction Committee, the Minnesota Women Lawyers Attorney-Student Mentorship Program, the Second Judicial District Ethics Committee, the American Cancer Society’s Young Professional Group (CURE), the Convent of the Visitation School Alumni Board, the Twin Cities Housing and Development Corporation Board of Directors.
